2004 Recipient of the AAP Chapter Award of Excellence

The mission of the Kentucky Chapter of the AAP (Kentucky Pediatric Society) is to improve the health and welfare of all infants, children and adolescents of the Commonwealth. To this purpose, the Society and its members dedicate their efforts and resources.

We are affiliated with the American Academy of Pediatrics. The Chapter is dedicated to working with the national American Academy of Pediatrics to further their policies and objectives at the state and local level and is committed to working with medical organizations within Kentucky and state and local governmental organizations involved in all phases of child care

Primary activities include advocacy on behalf of children, families, and health professionals in Kentucky; provision of Continuing Medical Education for pediatricians and implementing improvements in the systems through which they deliver pediatric care.
